Brainerd is a station on Metra's Rock Island District line located in the Washington Heights community area of Chicago, Illinois. Brainerd has an address of 8901 S. Loomis Boulevard, but the station is actually located in the middle of 89th Street from Loomis Boulevard to Bishop Street. Brainerd is 10.6 miles (17 km) from LaSalle Street Station, the northbound terminus of the Rock Island District.[1] In Metra's zone-based fare system, Brainerd is located within zone C. Brainerd consists of two side platforms which serve two tracks. A shelter is available at Brainerd, but there is no ticket agent. Parking is available along the station on 89th Street.
