[edit] Episode recap
Jon takes Garfield and Odie to visit his cousin Al and his son Roscoe. While Al bores Jon with slides from his vacation, Roscoe shows Garfield and Odie around his laboratory. He first demonstrates his robot, which he instructs to pet Garfield very roughly. Later, Roscoe sends the robot on a rampage, which makes him carry Garfield away and crash into the trashcans.
Roscoe blames Garfield for trying to steal his robot, and Jon believes him. Later, Roscoe catches Garfield trying to steal his candy, so he stuffs him into his homemade rocket (despite Odie trying to stop Roscoe from doing so). The rocket takes off and crashes into the living room, to which Jon decides to take Garfield and Odie home.
Before they leave, Jon orders Garfield to apologize to Roscoe. Garfield goes into the lab, sneaks past Roscoe and programs the robot to attack him; the robot does just that. Jon scolds Garfield on the ride home, while the robot continues to torment Roscoe.
Jon thinks that Roscoe is a nice kid, but Jon will not be happy about what Roscoe's cruel experiments on Garfield.
[edit] Goofs
- The color of Roscoe’s shoes changes continually as Odie is attacking him. In the very next scene, Odie’s ears appear yellow.
[edit] Quotes
Roscoe: I got an A in Advanced Thermonuclear Physics. I can dissect proton particles.
Garfield: I know how to make toast.
Garfield: [Jon] won’t let me get a word in edgewise. Of course, if I could talk, it would be easier.
