Cooper was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has Italian ancestry on his mother's side and Irish ancestry on his father's side.[1] After graduating from Germantown Academy in 1993, Cooper attended Georgetown University, from which he graduated with a B.A. in English in 1997. Later, he studied at the Actors Studio Drama School at New School University.
He was married to actress Jennifer Esposito in a small ceremony on December 30, 2006.[2] She has since filed for divorce.[3] On October 3, 2007 rumors came out that Bradley Cooper is dating actress Cameron Diaz, after the pair was spotted together in New York.[4] Although sources for both parties have adamantly denied these rumors and report that the two are "good friends".
On December 3rd, 2007 rumors began circulating that Bradley began seeing a close friend of his, Ashley McDonald. The rumors began after the pair we’re spotted trekking through Peru together. The two have recently become active members of the (RED) project,[5] and have stated their desire to become the next global ambassadors in hopes of making an impact on the nations that are less fortunate.[6]

He began his professional acting career on the television series Sex and the City in 1998. He also served as the host of Lonely Planet's Treks in a Wild World in 2000, and made his film debut in Wet Hot American Summer (2001), before landing his best-known role as Will Tippin in the successful television drama Alias (2001–2003). He returned twice to Alias as a guest star after leaving the show in 2003, and he also guest-starred on the short-lived TV series Miss Match in the same year.
Cooper starred in the ABC Family movie I Want to Marry Ryan Banks (2004), and appeared as a regular guest star in the WB series Jack & Bobby (2004–2005). He played the villain in the hit comedy Wedding Crashers (2005) and appeared in the film Failure to Launch (2006) as a friend of Matthew McConaughey's character. Cooper played the lead role in the Fox sitcom Kitchen Confidential, based on a memoir by chef Anthony Bourdain, which debuted in September 2005. However, Fox announced in late 2005 that the series was canceled because of low ratings.
In March 2006, Cooper starred in Three Days of Rain on Broadway with Julia Roberts and Paul Rudd at the Bernard B Jacobs Theater.[7]
In 2007, Cooper stars in Season 5 of Nip/Tuck as Aidan Stone a television star on the fictional show "Hearts 'N Scalpels" in which Christian and Sean give their advise on "real" plastic surgeries in order to give credibility to the show and gain popularity for their new practice in Los Angeles.
