Brad Sewell is an AFL football player who serves as a defender or back-up midfielder. He was selected with pick six in the rookie draft in 2003.
2006 proved to be his breakout year, when he came a narrow third in the club's Best and Fairest, collecting 130 votes behind Sam Mitchell and Luke Hodge. He played all 22 games for the season, and kicked his first and second goal in the last match of the year against the Geelong Cats.
To date, Sewell has tagged the likes of Travis Johnstone, Chris Judd, Ben Cousins, Peter F. Bell, Adam Goodes, Brent Harvey, Jason Akermanis, Steven Baker and Lenny Hayes, amongst others.
Sewell is seen as one of the AFL's best taggers as he is able to gather the ball and still play his own game while limiting someone else's. A key player for Hawthorn in their look for a premiership over the next few years and is the 2007 Peter Crimmens Medalist by one point to Campbell Brown.
