Occupation photographer, director, and pornography producer

Brad Posey is an American artist and pornographer. Posey began his art career as a painter, selling works in the Los Angeles area. While studying at UCLA his focus shifted away from painting to photography and video, and Posey became a professional photographer in 1982. He is the owner of the adult gay video company Club 1821.

Brad Posey has produced and directed over 75 feature length films, including many adult sex films. He is most famous as the pornographer who filmed Simon Rex (who later became an MTV VJ) in solo masturbation videos. The three sexually explicit adult movies were rumored to be the reason Simon Rex was not retained by MTV as a VJ. Posey appeared on various TV shows, including Entertainment Tonight, Hard Copy, and 101 Best Kept Hollywood Secrets, and in a number of magazines and newspapers, including Newsweek and The Miami Herald with his side of the controversy.

Posey won Best Solo Video at the 1997 AVN Awards for Hot Sessions #3, which featured Simon Rex. Today, Posey continues to make adult videos for Club 1821.

In response to a three-page interview with Simon Rex that appeared in TV Guide, Jay Leno included references in his monologue to Mr. Posey's work with Rex.
