Brad Lager

Brad Lager (born June 20, 1975 in Maryville, Missouri) is a small business owner and a Republican politician from the state of Missouri. He currently resides in Savannah, Missouri, with his wife, Stephanie.

He and graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in computer management systems from Northwest Missouri State University in 1997. He is a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church.

He was first elected to the Maryville City Council in 2001, becoming the city's youngest councilman ever. He was first elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2002, and won reelection in 2004. He served as the chair of the Budget Commission.

He was elected to the Missouri State Senate representing the 12th district in 2006.

On Feb. 9, 2008, he announced that he would run for state treasurer, following the shakeup of Gov. Blunt's announcement not to seek a second term.
