Brad Avery is a former guitarist for the Christian rock band Third Day. Born Bradley Brent Christopher Avery on August 20, 1971.

Brad started playing piano when he was 5 years old. By the time he was 12 he could learn songs by ear and play them on his guitar. After a year in college he went on tour with Young American Showcase for two years.

A couple of years later he got hooked up with Third Day at a benefit concert that he was also playing in. Eight months later Third Day was looking for another guitarist so he joined up for a try. After a second try-out where he crafted the lead guitar parts for the early hits "Blackbird" and "Consuming Fire," they knew it was a perfect fit.

Brad currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and four daughters.

According to the official Third Day Blog, Brad departed from Third Day on February 28, 2008.

Brad is a dedicated golf player. When on tour, he plays whenever he gets a chance.
