Brad (Hungarian: Brád) is a city in Hunedoara County in Romania. Its name comes from the Romanian word brad, "fir".

The town was first documented in 300 B.C.. At first it was a gold mine, and the town developed around it. Gold mining is still active today.

Brad has the most beautiful gold museum in the country and the third most important in Europe.
