[edit] DKR Photo

I noticed your Image:Album_Four_225.jpg, and noted that you are apparently the son of DKR. If this is true, do you have any more photos from his time as a OU player, other relevant pics from his childhood, pics from his time as a coach, etc.? I think some of the OU pics could be useful in the OU articles, the UT pics could be good in the UT articles, especially the ones from his era, and additional primary source pics like this could be useful in DKR's article. If you have pics like this (maybe team photos, etc.), that would really bring some special media to wikipedia and illuminate some of the articles from Red River, UT, and OU. Thanks. →Deser† sapper•≈talk 19:24, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mack royal

The article Mack royal has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 21:45, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Same for Mack Royal. Please don't post this article unless and until you can find reliable independent sources showing that this person is notable per WP:BIO. And being Darrell Royal's son does not confer notability. NawlinWiki 21:56, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

  • Furthermore, given your comment at [[Image:Album Four 225.jpg]] that *you* are Mack Royal, you should not be writing about yourself or your photography business. See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and WP:SPAM. NawlinWiki 21:57, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

What a great detective you would make. Of course I am Mack Royal. I never hid this from anyone. It's not just being Darrell Royal's son! On the other hand, what about Royal families? Where's the line? Anyway, I am artist in my own right and if anyone would just give a minute or two to document stuff the way you want it, I can do that. Just take a gander at some of my photos. Do you think those just fell in my lap? Gee Whiz!

[edit] Speedy deletion of Lee Daniel

A tag has been placed on Lee Daniel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Warning

Please stop creating articles about non-notable subjects and people. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:36, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

You know, look at the Lee Daniel page now. See? I start a page and before I can get back to it and document it, proving that the person is actually notable, it gets deleted. And not only that, you didn't tell me what you deleted. Bozo Texino is a totally legitimate page. I understand your objection. I did personalize it. It still deserves to be retained without the extraneous bs.

Also, I certainly am Mack Royal. I don't have a photography business. I take a lot of photos and interesting ones at that. I am part of the Austin art scene, but nobody will give me a chance to get as far as documenting any of this. Somebody just comes along, takes a glance, and deletes it. I don't even get a chance to prove anything with documentation. That might take more than five minutes of life that my Mack Royal page got.

I mean, what's the hurry. I know what I'm talking about. Just give me a warning or something without making snap judgements that way. These pages don't come full-blown with documentation automatically appearing all at once.

Now I'm being threatened with blacklisting. What's that all about?

How about let's get back that Bozo Texino page. I'll keep it encyclopedic.

By the way, how do I actually reply to Ohnoitsjamie?
