Boxgrove Primary School in Guildford, Surrey caters for 420 students from the ages of 4-11[2] and has extensive playing fields and an indoor heated swimming pool[3].Head teacher Mrs Pip Bridge was winner of the Promethean Teaching Award for Headteacher of the Year in a Primary School in South East of England in 2006[4][5].
The school is twinned with Mukidoma Boarding School in Tanzania[6] and the Vincentalex Primary School in Uganda[7]. The school has been accredited for its international work with an "International School Award" in 2003[8].
Notable alumni of the school include Dr John Randal Baker F.R.S.[9] and Lyndall Urwick[10].
