[edit] Discrepancy with former residents?

The article states that Bowood House has been the residence of:

• Sir William Petty, (1622–1687)
• Thomas FitzMaurice, 1st Earl of Kerry (1668–1741)

..but on the official Bowood website http://www.bowood-house.co.uk/lansdowne_family.html it says that "The Bowood Estate was bought in 1754 by John Petty Fitzmaurice, 1st Earl of Shelburne (1706–1761)".. "with the fortune left by Sir William Petty (1623-1687)" ?? And if the house wasn't built till 1725... Brograve 23:20, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
