[edit] Plywood selection

As I understand it, Bowers suggested obtaining cheap thin plywood (such as is seen on shipping crates), but selecting it by shining a flashlight through (3 plys) to find voids and knots in the central ply and not including any such flaws in the product. I think I read this in one of the popular magazines (Popular Science, Popular Mechanix) at the time. - Leonard G. (talk) 03:42, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
