[edit] Bowburn in the City of Durham?
The article referred to Bowburn being in the city of Durham. However, whilst it is within the boundary of city authorities, this does not mean it is part of the city. Other than this, a very good article. Logica 00:04, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
- For reference, the City of Durham was issued new letters patent in 1974 applying to the entire local government district. Morwen - Talk 09:27, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, but this still doesn't mean that Bowburn is in the City of Durham. Unlike other local authority areas (namely Sunderland), Durham City Council have refrained from signposting all the district council area as "City of Durham". Logica 23:07, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- "City of Durham" = district council. city of Durham = Durham City itself. Logoistic 03:26, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
