Radar Image displaying a bow echo that traveled throughout the Wichita, Kansas Metropolitan Area. The curved shaped section located at the front of the thunderstorm complex represents the area the strongest winds occurred. The radar shot was taken at around 6:00 PM CDT on October 17, 2007 during the Mid-October 2007 tornado outbreak that affected most of the United States Midwest, the southern Gulf Coast and the Great Lakes regions the most intense portion of the storm was located near Andover, Kansas in Butler (Courtesy of the National Weather Service Bureau on Wichita, Kansas
