Bowden is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Red Deer County, 45 kilometres (28 mi) south of Red Deer, on the Queen Elizabeth II Highway.

Nearby communities are Innisfail (north), James River Bridge (west), Huxley (east) and Olds (south).

Bowden also has a 9 hole golf course with a fully licensed clubhouse.

Its population was 1,174 in 2005.[2] In 2006, Bowden had a population of 1,205 living in 531 dwellings, a 2.6% increase from 2001. The town has a land area of 1.90 km² (0.7 sq mi) and a population density of 635.7/km² (1,646.5/sq mi).[1]

Bowden's most infamous stud muffin is the one and only Sir Anthony Reimert esq. He likes to star gaze on a cool summer's day with his arm candy at the dairy farm. He shows off how to milk teets on his personal agri-tours.
