Boves is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 80 km south of Turin and about 6 km south of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 9,507 and an area of 51.1 km².[1]
The municipality of Boves contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Castellar, Cerati, Fontanelle, Madonna dei Boschi, San Mauro, Rivoira, San Giacomo, Sant'Anna, and Mellana.
Boves borders the following municipalities: Borgo San Dalmazzo, Cuneo, Limone Piemonte, Peveragno, Robilante, Roccavione, and Vernante.
