[edit] Spa
Bourbonne is a health resort due to hot springs. These thermal springs were known to the Gauls and to the Romans who built baths. The name probably derives from the Gallo-Roman deity Borvo.
Other dedications found at Bourbonne includes one to Maponos, who like Borvo was identified with Apollo.
Thermal water has been used in Bourbonne for 2,000 years. It is used for bones, rheumatism and E.N.T. More than 11,000 patients visit the spa each year.
