Boundstone Community College is a co-educational comprehensive school for pupils aged 12 to 18, with over 1000 students, including 100+ in the Sixth Form, serving the communities of Lancing, Sompting and East Worthing. The Headteacher is Mr R. Evea.
The school was officially opened by John Hunt, Baron Hunt, C.B.E, D.S.O. on 18th October 1963.
Boundstone Community College has a long tradition of high standards in the performing arts and was designated a specialist college for the performing arts in 2002. Students from Boundstone regularly take part in the annual Adur Festival. In 2007 students from the college took part in the Soundwaves Festival.
In September 2008, Boundstone will also be admitting Year Seven pupils because of the change to the school structure in Adur. There are also plans to make Boundstone an academy in 2009, though these plans are only at an early stage.
