boundary 2

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

boundary 2 is an academic journal of postmodern cultural studies, critical theory, and literary criticism. In the 1970s and 1980s it was one of the primary venues for poststructuralist literary theory in the United States. It is edited primarily at the University of Pittsburgh and published by Duke University Press. Editors and frequent contributors include Paul Bové, William V. Spanos, Jonathan Arac, and many other literary and cultural theorists and postmodern philosophers. Since the early 2000s the journal has been closed to unsolicited submissions, as the editors announced: "The editors of boundary 2 announce that they no longer intend to publish in the standard professional areas, but only materials that identify and analyze the tyrannies of thought and action spreading around the world and that suggest alternatives to these emerging configurations of power."
