Boulsa is a town located in the province of Namentenga in Burkina Faso. It is the capital of Namentenga Province. It is mainly a Mossi village although there are Peul and Gulmanche populations as well. It is host to a regional office for Plan International.

The main religions are Islam, Catholicism and Protestantism (Assemblies of God).

Le Lycée Provincial de Boulsa is the main high school catering to approximately 1300 students (2008). There is also the Collège d'Ensignment Technique Professionnelle de Boulsa and a Catholic CEG as well. There are also a couple primary schools.

The "jour de marché" is every three days regardless of the day of the week.
