Boulevard is an unincorporated community in San Diego County. The Boulevard census-designated place (CDP) had a population of 1,496 at the 2000 census. The area is rural desert along the Mexican border near the eastern extent of San Diego County.

2000 Census Bureau data for zip code was 74.7% white (including Latino), 4.2% black, 10.7% Native American, 0.6% Asian, 0.1% Native Hawaiian, 7% other and 2.7% two or more races. 18% are Latino.

The community is south of Interstate 8 about 38 miles (61 km) west of El Centro. The US Post Office is plotted at . [1] This location is along State Route 94 and inside ZIP Code 91905. [2] Regulatory filings show a California Department of Transportation facility described as a highway maintenance station in Boulevard. It was located in the 40000-block of Old Highway 80 on the south side at as of 1993.
Locals put bumper stickers on their cars which read "WHERE THE HELL IS BOULEVARD?"[citation needed]
Recently[when?], the La Posta Casino, owned and operated by the La Posta Band of Mission Indians, has opened.[citation needed]
