[edit] Discussion
- A few things - 1. It's generally best if the bot's username resembles the owner's in some way. 2. Where is this table going to be published? Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 06:55, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Well, for the 2nd question I was thinking Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Cleanup. As for the 1st question, I'm new to this bot thing, so should I restart this request under a new bot name? - Trevor MacInnis (Contribs) 09:43, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's more a question of tradition than of policy; but as a rule bot names include the name of its owner (or is related to it in an obvious matter) and the word "Bot". There are exceptions, however, where name name of the function was used to make the bot name instead of that of the owner's, so I don't think this is a dealbreaker. — Coren (talk) 12:13, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- 1) Nah, you'll be fine, as Coren said. 2) OK, that's cool. I suppose a BAG member can approve it for trial then. Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 08:38, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
- That we can. If you could just check at some point about the page (i cant see it being an issue) with WP Aviation. As they may have other preferences. Its only going to be editing that page, i presume... Approved for trial (5 edits). Let us know if you need/want more Reedy Boy 10:45, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
