[edit] Discussion
Can you give us any insight as to how the bot does what it'll do?
- How would the bot identify vandalism?
- How would the bot decide when to / when not to rollback?
- What is your definition of "serial vandalism"?
- What do you mean by "trace unconfirmed vandalism patterns"? How would the bot do this?

- Actually, it'll look into the IRC feed from rc bot and it will show me suspicious vandalism. About the rollback, it can stalk a user or a IP and present to me the evidence of necessary rollback. For serial vandalism, let's say a user or a IP is adding a TON or modifying a TON of articles and they didn't get reverted, it can do all that. About the trace unconfirmed vandalism patterns, it may be a single date change, a exaggerated date, a town change, tiny tiny tiny changes. --Party (talk) 15:36, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- You haven't answered any of the key questions above. Can you provide some examples of the regexen you will be using to detect "suspicious vandalism" or "serial vandalism"? Will it be the rollbacker or will you? If it will, what are the sanity checks you're using? How does it detect a "tiny tiny tiny" change and determine that that change is incorrect? How does this behavior differ from ClueBot's warning that vandalism may have gone unreverted? Without answering these kinds of questions, this bot will never be approved. — madman bum and angel 18:03, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
