[edit] OverlordQBot
tasks • contribs • count • sul • logs • page moves • block user • block log • flag log • flag bot
Automatic or Manually Assisted: Automatic
Programming Language(s): Perl
Function Summary: Automatically reset the Introduction and Editing Help/Example templates and pages.
Edit period(s) (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run): Continuous
Edit rate requested: 23 per (12|24) hours
Already has a bot flag (Y/N): Y
Function Details: I had a question on my talk page about adding Wikipedia:Introduction 3 to the pages that OQBot watches for edits, and so I figured I'd just take the leap and come here and request that addition, as well as a few other features. Looking through some of the histories of some templates and tutorial pages, these were regularly reset by Uncle G's 'bot. Looking at the recent contributions however seem to show that it has stopped editing sometime last month. So essentially this BRFA is a request to duplicate the functionality of UG's SANDBOT functionality withing OQBot. Instead of the immediate reset that the bot does for WP:SAND and Wikipedia:Introduction, it will use an every 12 or 24 hour setting.
[edit] Discussion
Sounds alright and I'm going to Approved for trial (15 edits). When you have the sufficient edits to show the bots' purpose, we'll approve and discuss it from there. Good luck. — E talk 06:56, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Most recent 12ish edits here (excluding WP:SAND). It basically resets the Intro and Tutorial pages once every 12 hours, and is not triggered on vandalism like WP:SAND and Introduction like in BRFA #2. Q T C 07:51, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
