I think you mean this will be automatic because you won't be approving each edit the bot performs. Is this a standard AWB feature or plugin? When you say 'Can't possibly be more than 5' is their actually a restricition set somewhere? Obviously when you get approval you will need to update the user page to reflect that.-- maelgwn - talk 00:41, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- There is a delay function where you can pick the number of seconds to delay between each edit. With the bot function, you can choose to have it autosave. jj137 (talk) 01:01, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

- How do you know everyone in the projects wants a newsletter? I'm also a little unclear how both AWB and python are needed for a fairly simple task. I'm assuming you are going to paste something with a new level-2 header at the end of each user talk page. Are you pasting a template or the entire text? Are you handling the list manually, or getting it dynamically from the project page? Gimmetrow 19:56, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm just curious, why python and AWB? One or the other could do it. What's the python portion do? The AWB portion? SQLQuery me! 06:27, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

- Ok! Will begin Saturday, when all the newsletters (well most at least) are created. Thanks, - Milk's Favorite Cookie 22:18, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- I added a minor task above. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 00:06, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- It successfully delivered a notification to all Wikiproject Boston Celtics members. I will see how it does with the newsletter of other wikiprojects. It went a little fast at first, but I slowed it down, so it made 4-5 edits every minute. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 01:35, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- It successfully delivered a notice, and a newsletter for WP:MAVS - Milk's Favorite Cookie 21:33, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

- Why aren't you substituting the newsletters? — E talk 02:49, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

- You should be putting
{{subst:Wikipedia:WikiProject Name/Newsletter/Name}}
instead of just the template links. — E talk 03:17, 16 March 2008 (UTC) - (EC)WP:SUBST should cover what you need to know... It's realy preferred that newsletters be substed. SQL's Alternate Account (talk) 03:18, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
