  1. Will correct common misspellings in the article namespace.
  2. Inserting spaces after periods at the end of a sentence and before the following word.
  3. Inserting spaces after commas and removing spaces before commas where appropriate.
  4. Fixing broken URLs that accidentally begin with http://http:// or http:///

This seems to me to be an exxellent idea! People will be able to read and understand articles more easily, and they will seem more credible if puntuation is not a problem.Andrew the science guy 01:44, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Yes per above, list selection done using search term for misspelled target word. Additionally, quotations and regional spellings are a contextual issue, this bot is supervised. I will attempt to keep my edits below 6epm, I work rather quickly, so if possible, 10epm would be optimal. Navou banter / contribs 23:12, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
  • I trust that color/colour etc. will not be corrected per the ArbCom ruling regarding MOS, and the provision that the spelling a) depends on the article subject and/or b) depends on the first author? Daniel.Bryant 09:16, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

I see no problems with the typo fixing, but how will it correct spaces around commas or periods? Beware of numbers like 3,120,125.21 or something similar. —METS501 (talk) 14:03, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

    • What about things like website addresses, though? How would it handle "http://en.wikipedia.org" I would steer clear of the spaces around periods and commas.
