[edit] Discussion
This is my first time with a bot request, so be gentle if I've goofed somehow. I thought I'd start with something fairly easy. —Moondyne 13:34, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- I suggest moving cricketer to cricketer (disambiguation) and turning cricketer into a redirect to cricket, since all links are to this particular meaning. MaxSem(Han shot first!) 13:36, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well that's just too sensible. Will do. Bot request withdrawn. —Moondyne 13:40, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, not all meanings of "cricketer" are for cricket. See Cricketer (disambiguation). —Moondyne 13:51, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- Exactly, that's why a dismbig is needed at the first place. However, all incoming links are related only to one meaning. MaxSem(Han shot first!) 14:02, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- Say a visitor wants information about The Cricketer magazine. He types "Cricketer" and now goes straight to cricket. It may not occur to him to type "The Cricketer", and the chance of him typing "Cricketer (disambiguation)" is remote. I know I'm drawing a long bow but do you get my drift? —Moondyne 14:19, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

- that is why you place a disambig link to at the top. There is some template for that. For other meanings of the word, Cricketer please see Cricketer (disambiguation) 71.124.115.87 (talk) 14:38, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
