[edit] Discussion
Don't replace anything in content namespaces (Template, Category, Portal) with that image, it's self-referential. I suggest to remove 'em completely. MaxSem(Han shot first!) 15:15, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- Okay. The only annoying thing with removal is the crazy [[Image:Example.jpg|thumb|200px|[[Comment]][[Comment]][[Comment]]]]. Those are annoying with regexes, although I think pywikipediabot has a built-in image removal function. Do you mean removal for User space etc too? Mønobi 20:13, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- This regex might work for that, if I remember correctly:
\[\[Image:whatever\.jpg
[^\[\]]*
(\[\[[^\[\]]*\]\][^\[\]]*)*
\]\]
- If that helps. Essentially, it matches any number of links inside the description field. It is also known to cause headaches in anyone who attempts to understand it. --uǝʌǝsʎʇɹoɟʇs(st47) 22:11, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
