Function Details: Retarget redirects based on RfD discussion. Namely, Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2007 April 16 will be the first such task, to replace the old Esperanza redirect. This request has come through from WP:BOTREQ.

I've just prepared AWB for the task, and can see 47000+ pages, which could take several days. If it's OK, I'd like to do the task in pywiki, with an edit rate of ~20-25 edits per minute (or a more appropriate throttle, if required) Martinp23 17:01, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

I should clarify - the reason I'd like to get the task done quickly is becuase every day left is another potential false positive... Martinp23 17:02, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

This ought to be speediable imho, as it was sent to RfD for community approval and that was achieved. I also see no reason why this bot run should't use the "maxlag" parameter instead of being set a speed limit, given the number of edits involved and per the devs' approval of Cydebot and implementation of maxlag recently. --kingboyk 17:07, 1 May 2007 (UTC) (e/c)

Speedily Approved. as an AWB bot from an established operator. Watch it for the first few minutes to make sure you didn't miss anything, approved to edit at up to 15 EPM for important and high-volume tasks, and I'll post the flag request. ST47Talk 18:16, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
