What categories will it Add, fix, or replace? What kind of cotent will it add to seasonal articles? MaxSem(Han shot first!) 18:24, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- See here. It could automatically add an empty game log template if no game log is present. You may say that game logs are not necessary, but they are already on quite a number of articles and will eventually be on all of these seasonal articles; it will definitely help if the bot goes around and adds this to all of these seasonal articles. Also, the bot can add categories (for example, for a Cincinnati Reds article, Category:Cincinnati Reds); it will also fix/replace them (for example, making sure that a category like Category:WikiProject Baseball only contains content related to WikiProject Baseball). jj137 (Talk) 21:17, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Approved for trial (50 edits). To add categories only for now. Dreamy § 00:27, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- Y Done. Bot added Category:Cincinnati Reds to 50 articles (or maybe 49, I'm not sure) and worked flawlessly, right on time also. jj137 (Talk) 03:17, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- Looks fine. I'm not sure if it's appropriate to add Category:Cincinnati Reds to an article that already has Category:Cincinnati Reds seasons seasons, though - it's a subcat, isn't it? Dihydrogen Monoxide 10:11, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- Ya, it is a kind of pointless thing for it to do. You should add a code that doesn't allow that. Dreamy § 13:20, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Is it OK is I sort of "delay" this for a while? I still will use exactly the same parameters as specified above, so I can still use this page when I come back to it later, but need some time off from this to think; I also will need to write a new Python script for some of the tasks defined above. Let me know if this is OK. jj137 (Talk) 21:38, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- Sure. If you want, we can just mark it Withdrawn by operator. and you can re-activate it later. — madman bum and angel 21:40, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
I went ahead and withdrew the request with no prejudice. Once you feel you are ready, feel free to just reactivate it. — Coren (talk) 23:25, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
