Access only bots are fine as long as they obey maxlag, as pywikipedia does. Speedily Approved. --uǝʌǝsʎʇɹoɟʇs(st47) 20:14, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
I appreciate that this bot does not actually edit any pages. However, this seems the best way to achieve the data needed in the shortest time. It it also worth noting that this is looking to possibly be used to enhance wikipedia later on, attempting to gain discussion into buildings etc. that exist on the resulting tour.
- I'm saying that you're free to proceed without the formal approval process. If you do need permission to edit, you may return with a full request, however it is not necessary at this juncture. You are free to proceed with your data-gathering. --uǝʌǝsʎʇɹoɟʇs(st47) 20:19, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
