Function Details:
At the moment, my bot Bot523 can't deal with non-substed closeboxes on AfDs (it just ignores them). As substituting is the norm, I'm applying for permission for Bot523 to substitute AfD closeboxes when it comes across them as part of its normal duties (decategorising closed AfDs); this means that the bot would make edits I currently make by hand after running the bot. I'd also like to use the bot account to post its log output to my userspace (which I also currently do using my own account); I run some scripts on the output by hand to sort it and wikify it, so it's a manually-attended task. The bot uses a 5-second maxlag setting (which is why recently it's been decategorising pages out of alphabetical order, as it runs pages in batches and leaves maxlag-capped pages until the end of the batch rather than retrying them immediately). --ais523 15:39, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
