Category talk:Botswana educators

Botswanan does not exist in Botswana English: the adjective would be Botswana (or Setswana, where appropriate). And given the first person in the category was Patrick van Rensberg anyway (a South African for much of his life), I suggest if this cat must be moved, then it should be to "Educators of Botswana". If Botswanan does not indeed exist, we have a serious amount of categories to move. For example, every category under Botswanan people by occupation is indeed "Botswanan". I just suggested the move because I wanted to keep the category name more in line with the rest of the categories for Botswana(n) people.--Thomas.macmillan 00:41, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yup, I know. And every time I see them I think, Must do something about that. Ask User:Guinnog - he lists this prob on his user page. Actually, "Botswanan" does exist in UK dictionaries, but of course the term is rare, because how many people unfamiliar with Botswana spend their time writing about "things of Botswana"? So if you fancied putting them all up for change to "blah of Botswana", I'm sure we'd both cheer. JackyR | Talk 14:46, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

- I also find that 'Botswanan' is incorrect, and 'Botswana Educators' is the correct phrasing of it. just my two cents Nish81 21:55, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
