This article is about the railway station in Northern Ireland. For the station in The Bronx, see Botanical Garden (Metro-North station). For the subway station in Brooklyn, see Botanic Garden (BMT Franklin Avenue Line).
Botanic railway station serves the Botanic area in south Belfast, Northern Ireland and students for Queen's University Belfast. It is named after the nearby Belfast Botanic Gardens.
The station opened on 4 November 1976 and is very popular with passengers as it is closer to the City Centre than Belfast Central.[1]
Work to improve access for disabled passengers is nearing completion through the provision of lifts to the platforms. This upgrade is part of a £17 million investment package which also includes better lighting, sinage and seating. It is expected to be complete by late Spring 2008
