[edit] Cleanup
In some respects this article is quite good, but it needs certain kinds of cleanup. For example, the image link is currently broken. Some of the formatting also needs to be brought in line with the standards as laid out at Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools. Also, the only reference on many of the "notable" faculty members is that they're listed on the school's webpage. See WP:BIO for more information on how to confirm notability. --Elonka 22:21, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notable faculty
Why doesn't he get a mention in the history department? (Unknown)
As far as I can see it only one faculty member is notable, Philip Gambone. While it's impressive that the school has so many faculty that have graduated from presitigious schools with advanced degrees that doesn't mean we need to make an arbitrary decision as to which we'll call "notable". OTOH, I don't see any list of notable alumni, which is a standard feature of most school articles. Surely there must be a few. I'm going to trim the faculty section and add an alumni section, even f it's empty for the time being. ·:·Will Beback ·:· 08:50, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
I decided to take the notable alumni section out. Since the school is so small and young there are, I believe, fewer than 300 alumni in existence, none of whom are much older than 30. As far as I know, no BU Academy graduate has achieved notability, and I wouldn't expect there to be any notable alumni for a number of years. If someone finds one, feel free to add the section, but until then let's not have an ugly empty section. Moonroe 21:18, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

I have changed the article to say that the school was founded by Peter Schweich, and provided a reference for this. This is in response to an OTRS request. The reference someone had provided for it being founded by John Silber did not say that he founded the school; rather, it said that it was founded under his auspices, which reflects the fact that he was running Boston University and approved it. - Mark 10:21, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Although I couldn't find a better article to reference, the fact is that John Silber did found BU Academy. I'll try to find a better article... --CrashDawg 05:04, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
