[edit] Protected
After this RFD, which was pretty one sided in its opinion to have the redirect point to Boston, Massachusetts, I requested that the page be protected to stop the on again off again edit war over where it should point. The closing admin was nice enough to the request. That being said, if you feel consensus has changed since the redirect was protected, feel free to create a Redirects for discussion at a later date. --Bobblehead 05:31, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm glad its reached a definite decision, even though I wanted another option. Now, we can get on and, I hope, not see any more of the inappropriate and destructive edit wars, which i'm glad to say i did not participate in. I've added a brief sentence to the history section which should satisfy any residual objectors, I hope. It states that the city was named after the UK one, with a link to it. If that's inappropriate, people can edit it out. DDStretch (talk) 14:08, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] New move proposal
It has been proposed below that Boston (disambiguation) be renamed and moved to Boston. See Talk:Boston (disambiguation)#Requested move. -- JHunterJ 12:38, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
