Talk:Boss's Day
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
No. Cubicle worker's don't deserve a holiday. If they did, why not give every darn person a holiday? They are the workplace grunts that are supposed to appreciate us. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lgllgl (talk • contribs) 14:26, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Name
Wouldn't "Boss' Day" be more appropriate?
- Probably not, as it is primarily an American holiday, and they spell it like that. --204.52.215.27 15:17, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
This entry is incorrect. State Farm Insurance is located in Bloomington, IL. Allstate is headquartered in Deerfield. 71.201.170.158 (talk) 02:23, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] National Cubicle Worker's Day
I'm tired of Secretary's Day (aka, Administrative Assistant's Day, Administrative Professional's Day) and Boss's Day. Labor Day, which is a day for bosses & admins along with us cube workers) doesn't cut it.
I would like to hereby proclaim July 22 to be Cubicle Worker's Day. The day that those of us who work in cubes get a day of recognition for what we do. I'd like to see cards & gift cards given to us for a change. Why July 22? It's halfway between Admin's Day & Boss's Day.
Is it just me, or is it wrong to have a day where those who make less (probably way less) pay recognition to those who are their bosses?
Sign me as one who refuses to play Hallmark's game of hyper-commercialism just to give them more money!

In America, EVERYday is boss's day.
- Amen.
[edit] UK Bank Holiday
This article states that Boss' Day takes place on March 24th, a UK Bank Holiday. While this is technically true for 2008, it is only so because March 24th was Easter Monday this year. Personally I have never heard of Boss' day, and there is definitely no official UK Bank Holiday for it, so should this even be in the article? 64.35.203.57 (talk) 19:57, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

- I agree, it's total rubbish, there's never been a Boss's day in the UK. Removed relevant section. SaintedLegion (talk) 08:35, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
