Bosworth Independent College
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bosworth College is an independent school established on the 17th of November 1977, in Northampton, England. It is well-known for its students' high achievement in external exams. In 2006, 90% of the college's A-level results were of C grade or higher and it is not rare for candidates to gain anything up to five A-levels at A grade.
As of 2006, the principal of Bosworth College was Mr Michael McQuin and the vice-principal Ms Liz Carter. Bosworth is popular for its relatively small class sizes and focus on independent study times, although technologically speaking the college is behind many others, and lacks many amenities such as a shop or grounds. The number of A levels provided is also limited.
[edit] Students
Due to the independent status of the college, a high proportion of students are from overseas. Bosworth prides itself on a diverse mix of student ethnicities and actively promotes cultural integration. The college has also been known to attract a wide range of students from differing economic backgrounds.
