Boston Bun
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A Boston bun is a large spiced bun with a thick layer of coconut icing, popular in Australia and New Zealand. Traditionally, the bun also contained sieved potato.
[edit] Origins
The origin of the name is unknown,[1] but due to the strong trade ties between Australia and America, especially during the gold rushes of the 1850s, it is likely to be related to the city of Boston.[2][3]
