Bossonnens is a municipality in the district of Veveyse in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. This french speaking village, with a population of around 1,153 is near a sports facility which includes squash, tennis and football. It is centered around a small shopping centre which includes the swiss shopping chain "Denner", a bakery and a hair dressing salon.

It is quite accessible with the number 13 bus line from vevey going every hour from 7 till 8 with a special "pyjama bus" at 11.37 every day and a 02.37 at weekends. It has a small train station which goes in one direction to the town of Palezieux, which is a major transport link, and in the other direction Chatel St. Denis, Bulle all the way to Montbovon.

A small ruined castle lies on the outskirts of the town, as you enter from Attalens, in a wooded area. A stream runs through this wood around the village. Surrounded mostly by farmland Bossonnens is mostly a communter village, with many people working in nearby Vevey, Montreux or Lausanne. Sports wise Bossonnens has a relatively successful football team FC Bossonnens.
