Bossalinie is No Limit related C-Murder's second and yet to date highest peaking album. It entered the US album chart as the second highest selling of week ending March 14 1999. after selling 175,611 in 5 days[1]. It was dropped off ten spots from the top ten arriving on 12nd realizing a total of 71,594 copies sold.[1]. It stayed 11 weeks on chart and was certified Gold.[2]. However it topped the R&B album chart a week earlier at the top and only slipped to the sixth on the next one.[3]. It remained an R&B chart surfer for 26 consequetive weeks[4].
The album includes a track called "On my Enemies" that samples an unaired 2Pac diss song towards The Notorious B.I.G. and The Bad Boy Family. It was renamed and camouflaged to a tribute record thus it involves no agreement by Death Row Records as the album personnel give no credit neither to it nor to Tupac in person. It started a feud with Death Row affiliate Yukmouth who made a diss towards the executive producer of this album Master P. Yukmouth remake of "Still Ballin" (original created earlier, remix can also be found on Better Dayz) on his 1999 album Thugged Out - The Albulation contains the lyrics : "Cats fakin ya mak...waitin to jack..soon as the day it will past[...]aim an infared at the head of a rapper trying to make a living off a dead man[...]" [5].
C-Murder was also charged by Bridgeport Records and/or Southfield Records with improper use of the musical composition "Flashlight" as an interplolated/sampled portion in "W Balls" whereas the infringement has not been remedied as described in Infringing Compositions and/or Sound Recordings and/or Records[6]
