Bosideng (SEHK: 3998), fully Bosideng International Holdings Limited, is the largest down apparel company in China. It focuses on developing and managing the portfolio of down apparel brands, including research, design and development, raw material procurement, outsourced manufacturing, and marketing and distribution of branded down apparel products. Its brands are "Bosideng" (波司登), "Snow Flying" (雪上飞), "Kangbo" (康博), "Bingjie" (冰洁), "Shuangyu" (双羽), "Shangyu" (上羽)[1]
On September 2007, Bosideng issued its shares at HK$3.28 per share in an IPO. Lee Shau Kee, Li Ka Shing, Cheng Yu-tung, Dickson Poon and China Life Insurance subscribed to Bosideng shares as the cornerstone investors.[2] It was listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 11 October 2007, [3]but its shares later dropped below IPO price, because it looked unattractive to investors as global warming might affect consumer demand for its winter-used down apparel products.
