BOSS4GMES

BOSS4GMES [1] (Building Operational Sustainable Services for GMES) is an European Commission funded project aimed at developing sustainable Global Monitoring of Environment and Security (GMES) services.
The BOSS4GMES project is key to having a set of operation environment monitoring services for Europe. The project focuses on building appropriate governance and organisational structures that can support provisioning of GMES services. This is done in conjunction with developing technical capabilities of partners that are expected to provide these operational services
The work in the project is distributed in several work packages
The technical workpackages are led by Infoterra, Telespazio and Mercator
The business model workpackage which includes governance and organisational structure analysis is led by University of the West of England [2]
The overall project co-ordinator is Infoterra [3]
