[edit] License tagging for Image:Melbourne's TT 1998.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Melbourne's TT 1998.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] AfD nomination of Australia's 6.30pm current affairs ratings war
An editor has nominated Australia's 6.30pm current affairs ratings war, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Australia's 6.30pm current affairs ratings war and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. [edit] Image:Melbourne's TT 1998.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Melbourne's TT 1998.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Longhair\talk 13:25, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] List of Sea Patrol Episodes
Regarding your edits of approximately one week ago to the List of Sea Patrol episodes list:
I see that you have revised the format of the ratings table, it looks much better now. I also see that you have started to re-enter the data and have stopped. I have re-entered all the data which you deleted into the new table format.
I also notice that, when I checked some of the ratings data via [www.oztam.com.au OzTAM] it was very inconsistent with the data in the table and this did not appear to correspond with the OzTAM data (OzTAM data just takes into account metropolitern ratings data, btw). Is the data in the table completely wrong or am I looking at the wrong source? Is there another website that I should be looking at for more correct data, perhaps data from all over the country, not just the cities?

[edit] Sea Patrol Ratings
Hello Bortholomew,
Just a quick question: I'm wanting to add some references to the ratings for Sea Patrol. I see that most can be referenced from the OzTAM top 20 but, for any episode that wasn't in the weekly top 20, I don't know where the data came from. I would appreciate it if you could perhaps tell me where I could find the data.
Thanks, Daniel99091 (talk) 08:40, 25 April 2008 (UTC).

[edit] Referencing of Ratings
Hi Bortholomew,
I notice your work with the ratings in the All Saints article; it looks great!
Just wondering if you could maybe add references to the ratings so everyone knows where you got them and so they can be verified? After all, adding references sources is the only way Wikipedia will come to be a respected source of information.
Thanks, Daniel99091 (talk) 11:03, 6 June 2008 (UTC).
- Hi Bortholomew, and thanks for your response,
- I'm not concerned about the accuracy of the data, I'm sure it's all right, I just think that data such as ratings look much better with a reference next to it, even if the reference is to a hardcopy source. Plus, if the article ever goes to G.A. or F.A., it will need references to every fact such as these. Check out Wikipedia:Citation templates for templates citing online and hardcover stuff.
