[edit] my motivation
My motivation is that list seems to have any tinpot outfit included on it, regards of if they are notable or not. If your LARP is the subject of multiple indepedent sources such as those mentioned at WP:RS then feel free to add it back - but remember, if no such sources exist, then it will be removed. --Fredrick day 17:55, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi - first off, please sign your posts on talkpages by adding --~~~~ to your posts - it let's people know who's saying what.
A LARP event that has been running for 15 years and consistantly brings in over 100 players is hardly tin-pot, but that is your opinion, so,
I was not taking a view on your event just saying in general, most of those provide no sources at all to suggest that they are notable - Wikipedia is not about what is true but what we can provide verification of - using sources such as those mentioned at WP:RS.
according to what I understand, if I source the post with photographs and some players event diaries, would you be sufficiently satisfied to leave Mayfest in the list?
Self-published sources would not meet our requirements - basically you need stuff like newspaper articles, articles in magazines etc.
It is not some great bug-bear for me, I am just curious as to why you have come down so hard on smaller fests.
I have no interests in LARPs at all, I just hit the random button and see what articles pop up. I came across the list and find that the vast majority of the items on the list do not match our criteria for inclusion. It's not a matter of bigger/smaller - I am removing those that providing no sources. --Fredrick day 18:10, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
