[edit] (original) vs .NUXX
.NUXX being the more popular version of this track, it's confused with the original all the time. Because of this I think we should limit discussion in this article to the original, instrumental track, and direct readers to the Born Slippy .NUXX article for more discussion on the cultural impact of that song. What's a real shame is that you never hear anyone talking about the Telematic mix - which is not only the best of the three, but one of Underworld's finest ever moments.
I've deleted 'The lyric "mega mega white thing" is often taken to refer to cocaine or penis'. I always thought it was a reference to ecstasy. If this line is restored, I suggest adding some evidence for it. Chorleypie 13:11, 29 September 2006 (BST)
[edit] The meaning behind .NUXX
Any chance of the article explaining just what the hell .NUXX means? Because I may be thick but I have no idea and it's bugging me, and all the articles I read about the track just refer to it as if we should all know what it means. Cheers, Bewildered Thicko.
- Um, I don't think anyone really knows. It doesn't have any special meaning; it's just the name of the song. Kind of like, what's does "Winjer" mean? Who knows? Tabanger 21:25, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- In the trivia section of the Born Slippy .NUXX article (which should be merged into the article itself, honoring Wikipedia policy), it mentions that due to some computer fault at the time, the .NUXX suffix was added to all of their 'working computer files'. It doesn't warrant discussion here on the original Born Slippy page, but I would like to find sources that verify this little tidbit. ethan 18:16, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Delete Dustin Parody?
I have copied this information to the .NUXX Trivia section, as that's where it belongs, but I've been a user here for about two seconds and I'm not sure of etiquette or protocol, so I've not deleted it here. Now what? Colinpoppshed —Preceding comment was added at 22:01, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
