Borys Buryak (born October 25, 1953 village Podvirne, Chernivtsi Oblast) is a Ukrainian painter, known for his works in the field of easel- and monumental painting.
He graduated from the I.Trush College of Arts in 1974, and from the Lviv Academy of Arts in 1979. He is a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Borys Buryak is a winner of the National Union of Artists Prize (Kyiv, 1991), holder of the grant of the International competition "New Names” in Moscow (1992), winner of the prize "Art Club" (Khmelnitsky, 1996).
He lives and works in Lviv, Ukraine, where he runs his private school of painting and drawing. Since 1986, he participates in the national and international exhibitions (New York, Lyons, Metz, Angere, Kyiv, Moscow, Vienna, Brussels, Falkenburd, Aachen, Dortmund, Munich, Wachtberg-Berkum, Prague etc). Works of Borys Buryak can be found in numerous museums in Ukraine, as well as in the private collections in Ukraine, Russia, the USA, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Czech Republic.
