Borrisokane

Borrisokane (Buiríos Uí Chéin in Irish) is a town in north County Tipperary, Ireland. In 2006 it had a population of approximately 1145, which is growing. It is the capital of Lower Ormond, strategically situated on the N52/65 between Nenagh and Portumna and the N52 between Nenagh and Birr, close to the great national amenity of Lough Derg only 8 miles to the west.
