Challenge Tour events: the first professional golf tournament on Norwegian soil, Karsten Ping Norwegian Challenge in 1994, sponsored by Karsten Solheim, and in 1998, Netcom Norwegian Open.
Borre Golfbane was opened with nine holes in 1990 and 18 holes the following year. In 2005 the course opened nine new holes, which were added to the first nine along lake Borrevannet. Borre Golfbane has hosted two[edit] The course
Borre Golfbane consist of two parkland courses, 18 and 9 holes. The 18-hole course, "New Borre" is par 72 and 6365 meters long (6851 yds) from champions tees. The nine-hole course, "Old Back-nine" is par 36 and 2927 meters long (3200 yds) from champion tees. Both courses have four tees; ladies and gentlemen, club and champion tees.
