Boromakot

King Boromakot (Boromarachathirat III) (Thai: พระเจ้าอยู่หัวบรมโกศ or สมเด็จพระบรมราชาธิราชที่ 3) (ca. 1680-1758) was king of Ayutthaya 1733 until his death. He was a son of King Sanphet VIII or Tiger King. His reign was the 2nd glorious period of Ayutthaya kingdom.
In 1753, he sent a group of senior monks to Sri Lanka to re-establish Buddhism there. Due to this the Buddhism in Sri Lanka is called Siamvongse Buddhism. He had so many Poets, one of them was his son, Prince Dhammadhibeth (เจ้าฟ้าธรรมธิเบศร). He ordered to renovate many royal temples in Ayutthaya.
